Guests have full access to the apartment and also to our shared walkout garden-level patio — a quiet outdoor space perfect for morning coffee, stargazing, or spotting bald eagles and falcons. (Yes, they show up often!) You’ll receive a custom keypad code on the morning of check-in. No in-person meeting required — but we’re nearby if you need anything.

🔔 Other Things to Note We also host two additional unique rentals in this building: The Artist's Loft and The Peacock Loft — perfect for groups or friends traveling together. 🚗 Parking Guidelines From November through April, overnight street parking on Washington Street is not permitted due to seasonal regulations. Please use our gravel parking area behind the building, which we own and maintain. Daytime and evening street parking is still allowed. 🔒 Security & Courtesy Please lock both the apartment door and the exterior building door every time you leave. Kindly leave all items in the loft — we love sharing this space and want to keep it complete for all future guests. Dishes: Before checkout, please wash any dishes you’ve used. 🌿 Patios & Outdoor Areas Feel free to enjoy the three walk-out garden-level patios behind the building. These peaceful shared spaces are perfect for relaxing, reading, or having a quiet drink. Please note: The patios and gardens are shared with neighboring apartments. They are closed from midnight to 8:00 AM to ensure quiet for all residents. Nest Instructions Nest thermostats don’t have a touch screen. Use the touch bar on the right side to control your thermostat. Swipe up to make it warmer, swipe down to make it cooler, and tap to confirm. The screen shows you how many minutes until it reaches the temperature you want. Tap the touch bar to bring up the menu. Swipe up or down to select an option. Tap the touch bar again to confirm your selection. 🐾 Pet Policy We welcome one well-behaved pet per stay. There is a $70/night pet fee. Pets must not be left alone in the apartment at any time for their safety and the comfort of neighbors.

In western Wisconsin, St. Croix Falls has become a destination for people who want to go places. It's the western terminus of the 1,000-mile Ice Age National Scenic Trail, which traces the last glacier as it began to melt and retreat northward, leaving a marvelously lumpy patchwork of rock, rubble and river gorges. It's the southern trailhead of the 48-mile Gandy Dancer State Trail, a scenic crushed-limestone bicycle trail named for the rail workers who rhythmically swung pickaxes and hammers made by the Gandy Tool Co. And it's the headquarters of the 252-mile St. Croix National Scenic Riverway, with a new visitors center that helps paddlers plan trips from the Namekagon to the St. Croix's confluence with the Mississippi. There are another 12 trails in Interstate State Park, which became Wisconsin's first state park in 1900 and is the start of the Ice Age Trail.
Transit
A car from airport is your best option, once here you can walk to restaurants, shopping, theater and Interstate Park. Wineries will require a car.

The Peacock Room was fabulous! My husband and I stayed for my 40th birthday and enjoyed the shops, food, drinks, and sights around the area. Rhonda thought of everything! We loved the colors and décor, comfortable seating and lounging areas. Very clean and well-kept. Other reviews mentioned the snacks and coffee that were stocked. We were impressed as well! We highly recommend!

Rhonda’s place was in a great location if you want to enjoy the ice age trail and explore at Interstate Sate Park. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of St. Croix Falls. The apartment was very clean and met all our expectations.

The Peacock Room is charming & delightful & just as pictured. The building was easy to locate, with easy access to the apartment. The space was very welcoming, everything was spotless & we had everything we needed in the kitchen, bathroom, and for relaxing. We loved all the little luxuries---soothing music playing when we arrived, thick towels in bathroom & kitchen, comfy blanket on the pillow-filled couch, coffee & tea selections, & an amazing outdoor space. Communications were all timely & clear. We are planning to return soon!!

Rhonda’s place was perfect for a weekend getaway. Such a warm and thoughtful apartment, with beautiful decor and a great theme which made for a cozy environment. We loved that we were able to include our small dog and go to nearby trails for hiking, and we definitely recommend checking out “The Vegetarian” a few doors down for great take out. We had a fantastic time and hope to be back soon!

This is a jewel box in St Croix. The building, the patio the 1BR apartment was so well appointed. Beautiful, peaceful, clean, light filled...It's not your average place to stay. The space and the host are one of a kind. I stayed in the Peacock Suite. I will be back to check out the other spaces I am so curious and happy with my visit.

This is a fabulous place to stay we will definitely be back! Very clean and stocked with everything we could possibly need and more. The environment was a relaxing bohemian style which was very calming and we thoroughly enjoyed all of the beautiful outdoor space. Was conveniently located near so many things to do whether it’s outdoor activities, wineries or shopping. Looking forward to our next stay!

Our mission is to help our guests create beautiful memories with our cozy home. For an optimal experience for us both, we’ve spelled out some house rules. Thank you in advance. We truly appreciate your cooperation! Rules 1. We accept up to 2 small dogs in Artist Loft and Peacock. One dog in Copper. 2. Please clean your own dishes and put away your own dishes 3. Only the guests noted in the booking are allowed on the premises. 4. Shoes are not allowed to be worn inside the home. 5. No Smoking. 6. Please turn off the AC when you’re away. 7. No parties or events. 8. Check-in is at 3PM and check-out is at 11AM. 9. Self check-in Check yourself in with the keypad.
